KMET and its partner Pharm Access have embarked on a series of mini launches of the Bima Poa health insurance plan in Kisumu East and Siaya districts.

The launches dubbed Bima Poa Information Days, Kicked off on 15th August in Dophil Maternity and Nursing Home in Siaya District and are bound to continue in five other selected health facilities up to 30th August.

Hundreds of Kisumu residents got education about the health plan during last week’s Bima Poa Information Days held at Godswill Medical Centre in Nyalenda and Nightingale Medical Centre in Kondele where they also accessed selected free medical services.

KMET Founding Executive Director, Monica Oguttu said that the health plan is bridging the gap by targeting a class that has been neglected for long by commercial health insurance plans.

  1. Your article does not say which other facilities around Kisumu can your clients get services from. Upon payment of the first installment, can the client already start getting the services and when is the second installment due?

    • Thank You Ominde. In Kisumu a client can get services from Millimani Maternity Hospital, KMET Corkran Clinic, Godswill Medical Center as well as Nightingale Nursing and Maternity Hospital.
Upon payment of the first installment one is illegible for services the succeeding month. For example, if you paid Ksh. 4000 or 8,000 between the 1st and the 20th of November you will be able to access services from the 1st of December. However, if you pay after the 21st of November you will wait an extra month and your cover will begin on 1st January. So its advisable to pay between 1-20 of any month. The second installment is always due after a months period

  2. KMET Has suddenly become an organization to grow with in the city of Kisumu and beyond. From the teething problems and uncountable milestones KMET has endeavored to be the blue print of what success is in terms of growth and quality of work. I cherished the moments I spent to save lives of mothers who were seconds from death due to risky abortions around obunga estate as a volunteer together with Monicah. To the founder and program director, you have changed the lives of many through employment, loans, health education, post abortal care and many more ways.May God immensely bless KMET forever.
