The fashion audition held at Alliance Francoise Cultural Centre was a preliminary process to a bigger beauty pageant dubbed Beauty with a Purpose set to take place on September 6th at Agakhan Hall Poolside.
The September event is expected to reach out to about 700 youth according to Kisumu Fashion Week (KFW) Director Enock Ndede.

Kisumu Fashion Week has been in existence for three years and attracts a huge following of youth in the region who are interested in launching a career in modelling and in the entertainment industry.
KMET through its reproductive health demand creation team known as youth peer providers (YPPS) and medical team provided services on breast cancer examination, cervical cancer screening and information as well as long term contraceptives.
Laser Arts theatre group also performed an entertaining skit highlighting the dilemma that befalls married couples, young men and women due to unplanned pregnancies in relation to unsafe abortion and limited contraceptive information.
Speaking after the event Enock appreciated the role that KMET and other partners played saying it was the most attended audition ever since Kisumu Fashion week was launched.
